Rider Radio Network is Growing

Harvard Broadcasting Inc. is pleased to announce several key signings have been made to expand the roster of the 620 CKRM Saskatchewan Roughrider Radio Network.

Today’s Country CKBI-AM 900 Prince Albert joins the network with enhanced coverage to the Prince Albert/Melfort region and FM repeater coverage to the northern communities of Big River and LaRonge. In the West-Central and North-West portion of the province, the most comprehensive and continuous all-access coverage in the CFL will be broadcast via the tandem of Today’s Country CJNB-AM 1050 North Battleford and CJNS-FM 102.3 Meadow Lake.

“The addition of 900 CKBI in Prince Albert is a homecoming for me as that signal was one of my first stops in this industry,” states Rod Pedersen, play-by-play voice of the Riders, “It’s fantastic that even more of Rider Nation will now be able to tune in and cheer together on game-day.”

In addition to the northern expansion of the signal, for the very first time coverage to Saskatchewan’s largest city
will be delivered in FM stereo quality as the Rider’s biggest moments will be heard on Saskatoon’s Greatest Hits – 96.3 CRUZ-FM.

“As a football club we’re excited to witness the growth of the network and the expanded opportunity for Rider Nation to tune in wherever they might be across the province,” says Craig Reynolds, President and CEO of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. “We are particularly excited about the enhanced signal quality to the city of Saskatoon with a great partner like CRUZ-FM.”

With the veteran presence of GX94 Yorkton and network flagship 620 CKRM Regina, this season will witness an expanded number of broadcast partners that takes Saskatchewan Roughrider broadcasts to all corners of the province. Combined with the mobile streaming options via the 620 CKRM app and the official Rider App, Rider Nation can now follow game- day broadcasts of “Canada’s Team” anywhere across Saskatchewan and around the world.

The debut broadcast of the expanded Rider Radio Network will occur Saturday, June 13th, as Rod Pedersen
“The Voice of the Riders” and Carm Carteri travel for the first time ever to SMS Stadium at Shell Place in Fort McMurray, as the Edmonton Eskimos host the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL’s inaugural Northern Kick-Off.
