The Hill Companies Celebrate Prairie Roots with Induction into Saskatchewan Business Hall of Fame

The Hill Companies are proud to announce its induction into the Saskatchewan Business Hall of Fame by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. The induction took place at the annual ABEX Awards in Saskatoon, where the company was recognized for its outstanding contributions to the province's business community.

Founded in 1903 by Walter Hill and EA McCallum, The Hill Companies have been dedicated to the people and province of Saskatchewan for over 120 years. Since its inception, the company has grown into a significant player in North America, building the first skyscraper in Saskatchewan and expanding into numerous industries across various provinces.

The Hill Companies' real estate division, Harvard Developments, has developed over 28 million sq. ft. of real estate projects across Saskatchewan. Today, the company continues to invest significantly in Downtown Regina, with developments such as Hill Centre Towers I and II, Mosaic Tower, Agriculture Place, and many more.

Western Surety Company, another arm of The Hill Companies, provides construction bonding to over 150 Saskatchewan-based contractors and has bonded over $5.6B of infrastructure projects in Saskatchewan over the last ten years.

Harvard Western Insurance provides insurance and bonding services to over 31,000 clients across Canada. It has become deeply ingrained into the Saskatchewan community with 4 locations in Regina and remote branches in Yellow Grass, Pangman, Milestone, Rouleau, and Kronau.

Harvard Media was established in 1977 and has since transformed into a media, entertainment, digital marketing, and experiences provider focusing on the communities of Saskatoon, Regina, and Yorkton. With a reach of six radio stations within the province and 13 across Western Canada, Harvard Media is proud to have been the voice of the Saskatchewan Roughriders for more than 40 years.

Harvard Energy, the oil and gas division of The Hill Companies, operates across Western Canada. Its Weyburn facility is the world's largest and most renowned carbon capture project.

The Hill Companies have also extended its operations into the United States through Harvard Investments and Harvard Integrations. Harvard Investments specializes in developing award-winning residential communities, second homes, and resort communities, among others, while Harvard Integrations manufactures and markets a diverse line of custom enclosures and accessories.

"Everyone within The Hill Companies is honoured to receive this recognition from the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce," said Paul Hill, Executive Chairman of The Hill Companies. "For over 120 years, our sole purpose in business has been to help others realize their dreams, be it our business associates or community members who may not have the same opportunities as us. This sentiment has been ingrained into our DNA from our earliest days, and we believe this is the core reason for our longevity and success.”

The Hill Companies have embodied the spirit of Saskatchewan for more than a century by prioritizing the success of their clients, customers, and community partners over their own. Despite facing a range of obstacles, from global conflicts to worldwide recessions, the company has always kept the people of Saskatchewan at the forefront, contributing over $40 million to various communities in the last decade alone. This includes supporting less fortunate students attending Mother Teresa Middle School, an 11-year program, Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, and The Paul J. Hill School of Business.

"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, the province of Saskatchewan, and to the communities in which we operate for this exceptional honour," continued Paul. "We appreciate their enduring support and commitment to the growth and success of our business."
